It is with great pride and joy that we prepare for the centennial anniversary of our club (1912-2012). For 100 years, Gamk has given Armenians living in Egypt a place to get together, create memories, and practice different kinds of sports, including basketball, soccer, and track and field. In addition to the athletic nature of Gamk club, it is also important to note its Scouting activities assisting Armenian youth develop valor, pride and strong values.    Was your grandfather a Scout, mom a basketball player, father a committee member, uncle an athlete or football player? Or are you the first in your family to join the activities of Gamk? Are you a fan of the club, have friends involved in the club and have participated in its activities as a player ,guest scout or even committee member? No matter what your legacy, we invite you to share your history and memories with us as we celebrate a hundred years of traditions, history and athleticism.    The Homenetmen - Gamk general committee and the centennial anniversary sub-committee have started collecting pictures to create a history gallery that will be presented at the anniversary celebration which will be held during the summer of 2012. For this endeavor to be successful your contributions with personal pictures (old and new) depicting and describing your memories and family activities at Gamk (sporting, scouting, committee, or any other Gamk events ) will be greatly appreciated.    Please send us your pictures with a brief history of the event, the year and the names of the people shown.
